fixed rookies VI

Kopenhagen hat ne beachtliche fixed gear scene, und die Jungs ham am Wochenende zum 6ten mal den "fixed rookie" Event abgehalten. Diverse Disziplinen geben Punkte und am Ende wird dann ausgewertet. Unter anderem gab's:

Copenhagen has a remarkable fixed gear scene, and last weekend these guys held the "fixed rookie" event for the 6th time. Different disciplines give points and at the end the list is evaluated. Disciplines included:

Footdown: 5 Leute fahren im Kreis und versuchen sich gegenseitig vom Rad zu schubsen und wenn der foot down ist ist man raus ... man das geht ganz schön ab am Ende, geht fast zu wie beim Eishockey ... (siehe Video)

Footdown: 5 People ride in a circle and try to get each other of the bike. If your foot goes down, you're out ... man, this is getting kind of rough in the end, almost like icehockey ... (check the video)

Slalom: Naja, kann man fast nichts falsch machen ... fast, haha.
Slalom: Well, you think nothing can go wrong here ... think again, haha.

Bier, DJ+Generator waren auch immer am Start ...

Beer, DJ+generator were always with us ...

... und nachts um halb 3 gabs dann (nach Keirin und Skidding) auch noch Trackstand. So lange die Balance halten wie's geht bis einer übrig bleibt ...

... and at 2:30 at night (after Keirin and skidding) it was time for Trakstand. Holding your balance as long as you can until only one is left ...

... das Ganze wird dann noch erschwert durch schrittweises lösen von Händen und einem Fuss ... und wenn das nicht reicht um einen Sieger zu ermitteln, auch noch Entledigen der Kleidung, hahaha.

... step by step you have to take of hands and feet to rise the level ... and if that's not enough to determine a winner, you also abandon your clothes, hahaha.

Sonntags: Grillen, mit anschliessendem Abschluss-Sprint.

Sunday: Grilling with a final time trial afterwards.

Es gab auch viel Bier die ganzen 2 Tage.

3 Tuborg für 20 Kronen (2,50€), da kann man eh schon nicht meckern. Und als dann das Geld für das Bier in der Kasse war ging der Rest als Freibier raus :)

There was also a lot of beer these two days.

War end die Gaudi, und von ca. 30 angemeldeten Startern bin ich gleich mal 10ter geworden und damit "best out of towner", haha. Das war allerdings auch n sehr relaxtes Event ... 

Und Danke an Haakon für die Organisation.

Was really nice, and from ca. 30 registered starters I came in 10th, which also made me "best out of towner", haha. But actually this was a really relaxed event ...

And thanks to Haakon for the oragnisation, well done, it was a really great weekend.
